EDDCRAFT's Guide to MINECRAFT
Welcome to my guide to the worlds greatest game. This shall be updated some times so do not worry about new updates. Any questions just go to the contact EDDCRAFT page.
So now I will teach you the basics. This guide is to the computer version. So as default your computer will set you movement to the keys W,A,S and D. So create a map and load it up, I suggest for beginners to start of with a creative mode game. Now try it on super flat and run around to the nearest village. From there find a house with a door, always remember the mouse controls were you are looking. When you have arrived at the door right click to open the door. Go through the door and find a villager and kill it by left clicking.

Now you know how to kill start a new survival world (keep it on peaceful) and find a tree. To harvest the wood from the tree face the tree and hold your attack button. Eventually the tree shall be destroyed leaving just wooden blocks. From there open your inventory with the "E" key. from here place a wooden block. When you do so collect the wooden planks from the other side of your crafting area. Now create a crafting table by filling the crafting area with at least one wooden plank.

Now use your action key to place your crafting table. You can use your crafting table to make almost anything in the game. But you need to make lots of items to practice (try building things of this website). So now you can build an pick. Start digging into any hill and once you reach stone until you reach some iron. To mine the iron you will need to build a stone pickax. After you have built this mine the iron ore. Now go to your crafting table and make a furnace. Place the furnace and get some wooden blocks place the wooden blocks on both sides to make some charcoal. Put the charcoal on the bottom slot and put the iron ore on the top. This will take some time but you should be left with some iron ingots.
MODS
Mods are extra things to be added to you minecraft game. To get these I suggest going to the minecraft forum. I do not suggest modding if your a beginner or you have a really bad computer. Having several mods will make you game lag.
To install mods first you need minecraft forge. Once you have got minecraft forge open it and your minecraft.jar files (minecraft.jar is under "appdata/roaming/minecraft/bin on windows 7) with something like winrar and drag the forge folders into minecraft.jar. After you have done that, close that down and load up Minecraft, there shall be a new bit pop up after you have logged in DO NOT CLOSE THAT. Once you have the game loaded close it and follow the mods creators guide. Most mods will require you putting them into the mods or coremods folder.
